Them Damn Kids: Happenings

i'm touring in february.
this will be a solo outing. i'll have a drummer with me, providing backup.
states to be visited are these- wisconsin, iowa, illinois, kansas, missouri, alabama, tennessee, kentucky, indiana, and michigan.
most everything is booked- all that will be announced within the month of december.

well, the tour was a rousing success on every front! our best to date, a tiring whirlwind of shows, with many, many stories to tell.
in case you hadn't been following, we recorded a video blog for every day we were on tour. if you head over to youtube, and search for 'them damn kids', you'll get that to come up. some are funny, some silly, others are probably just plain boring to most- its a document about the life of one touring band in the summer of 2008.
we wish mostly to extend our dearest thanks to all who helped us with shows, all who came to shows, everyone who purchased a cd, vinyl, button, or bookmark. everyone who donated gas money so we wouldn't go broke with fuel prices. everyone who helped us with directions when we were lost on the backroads of michigan, wisconsin, alabama, or indiana. to everyone who gave us a place to stay or fed us a meal along the way in between towns. to all the incredible people we were able to visit with along the way, and all the new friends made.
from the bottom of our hearts- thank you. this summers travels would not have been possible without your help. we love you!
the months to come will see us preparing our new album- the recording, the mixing, the mastering, the duplication. we are quite excited about the new material, and are looking at an early 2009 release for these recordings!

we are currently nestled in a cabin in the hills of southern missouri, recording the inital tracks for the next album. we have been here for five days, collecting sounds.
the tour will resume again tomorrow, with a show at an art guild, in lebanon, missouri.

forty shows between july 16th and august 23rd. we are reeling with anticipation and excitement here in the tdk camp. a week remains in the city before we head out on the open road, to pour out our hearts and souls, once again

yes, its true,
the current number stands at 36 shows between july 16th and august 20th. as you might imagine, some days will find us at more than one location. we hope you will join us for at least one of them. we will probably have four new shows to announce within the next two weeks, so keep your ears awake for those!
chicago is a wonderful place in the summer. street festivals, good food, and a general liveliness abounds. upon returning here, i have discovered much that i have missed. if home was a feeling, this place is the closest resemblance i have found to that sentiment.
good to be here, in the city of big shoulders, for another round.

this is our new site. it will be around until we can restore our old site to a more practical working condition.
we are very excited about the summers travels. im returning to chicago for a bit beforehand, and am very much looking forward to it!
We leave the 16th of July, and return the 20th of August. Shows are still coming in, but so far we have 32 shows confirmed during that time, and a few still in the works! its gonna be a wild and crazy ride, and we hope you will come and see us on it!
